On the very day that you land in Nairobi, you will have the opportunity to experience the conservation efforts of elephants and giraffes.

Day 1

Arrive in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, spend the first day visiting: The Karen Blixen museum & D. Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage - rehabilitates baby elephants that have lost their mothers to poaching, other related tragedies, preparing them for release into the wild when adults -, Giraffe centre for similar conservation project

Day 2

Depart to Mt Kenya - Laikipia region, Ol Pajeta Conservancy - increasingly recognised as one of Kenya’s best-kept conservation secrets. The conservancy is home to pioneering conservation projects and spectacular sightings of white and black rhino & other endangered species including wild dog, Grevy’s zebra & the locally threatened Jackson’s hartebeest. Day 3

Depart for Samburu conservation area, Saruni lodge. Samburu is rugged & its people welcoming. Guided bush walks taking you to nearby mountain caves - marvel at ‘white rock art’ from 1000s of years ago. Historically Samburu is known for its large elephant herds crossing the Kalama area, ancient migratory routes between the different conservancies & human populations

Day 4

Another day spent in Samburu. Samburu national reserve derives its name from the Samburu people of Kenya who have lived in the area for many years. Samburu National Reserve was one of the two areas in which conservationists George and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness. The famous  best selling book and award-winning movie "Born Free"

Fly to Amboseli National Park. Most famous for its stunning views of Africa's highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Elephant Research Project founded in 1972. Get to see the efforts to curb poaching of elephants

Short drive to Tsavo Malkahalaku Community Conservancy. Tsavo Conservation assists by securing investment into the area , investment into local nature-based enterprises, provision of planning, technical and operational support. Taita Taveta conservation is in the wildlife dispersal areas outside the officially protected National Parks

Day 8

Wake with the dawn to witness a sunrise out on the Masai Mara. Cheetah conservation in the Maasai Mara (Masai Mara) has been helped by The Kenya Wildlife Trust that is supporting their efforts in the Maasai Mara. Human-wildlife conflict is prevalent in the Masai Mara

Day 9

After breakfast bid farewell to the Maasai Mara. Fly back to Nairobi . Transfer to the international airport in Nairobi JKIA, depending on your onward flight back home.
